Maxine  Eich
Maxine Eich, age 87, of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life, June 19th, 2011, at Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 5-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Memorial donations in honor of Maxine may be directed to her church or Iowa River Hospice. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.vogelfuneralhomes.com. Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Cremation Care is entrusted with arrangements.
Maxine was born May 20, 1924, in Marshalltown, the daughter of William A. and Dorothea (Westman) Inman. She graduated from the Albion High School in 1942, and was united in marriage to John C. Eich on October 14, 1943, in Washington D.C. They resided in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Omaha, Nebraska, before returning to Marshalltown. Maxine was a homemaker and an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a Girl Scout Leader, and a volunteer Advocate at Grandview Nursing Home.
Maxine will be missed by her children, John C. (Ginger) Eich, Jr., Marge M. (David) Huff, both of Marshalltown, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary Cox; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Eich, Dolores Eich, Barb Edsall, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Bud Jensen.
Maxine joins in eternal life, her loving husband of 56 years, John, sister, Avis Matchie, brothers; Paul, James, William, and Arthur Inman.
