Condolence From: Kathleen Proescholdt Goodman
Condolence: This is what my father, Carl Proescholdt, wanted to say this morning at RUth's memorial. "There is a movie called "mr. Chips" where the main character plays a teacher and taught 3 generations of students. Ruth Gould was our Mr. Chips. She taught sons and daughters and grandsons and grandaughters of Beaman, Conrad, and Liscomb students. She impacted all 5 of my childrens' lives. Ruth shared her knowledge and her wisdom with all her students. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of thy Lord." Carl Proescholdt

Condolence From: Randi Watkins Folkerts
Condolence: I was so saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Gould. She was my 4th grade teacher & I worshipped the ground she walked on. She truly was one of my favorite elementary school teachers. My memories of her were of a very loving teacher who went above & beyond the normal call of duty to help her students learn. It was more of an intimate friendship with her. And her interest did not fade once you left her class. I was astonished a few years ago when the Conrad War Memorial was erected. I was standing in front, examining the memorial when Mrs. Gould walked up to me & started talking. Even before I recognized her, she said, you're Randi Watkins, aren't you? I was amazed that she could recognize me after all those years, let alone remember me - one of many. I was so touched by our remembrances & visiting. I ran into her once or twice after that & we had such good visits. I'll always remember her fondly & will miss the opportunity to reconnect yet again.

Condolence From: Jami (McNair) Willett
Condolence: Deepest sympathies on Ruth's passing! I always had a hard time calling her "Mrs. Gould" at school because I knew her as Ruth! I cherish the memories that the McNair's, Gould's, and Harmon's made on the annual after Christmas Eve program parties! So much fun and laughs together!! I hope you smile when you think of her and all the special times you shared together!
