I had the pleasure of meeting my Great-Aunt Evie for the very first time last month at Kathy Roughton's home. There was such an immediate connection with her. Condolence: I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I did not know Evelyn, but my mom always talked about her kindness and happy personality. Mom loved visiting with her when she was shoe shopping at Ewers.

Condolence: Evie was one of the nicest people I have known. She was so positive and fun! I admired the person she was, and saw her as a role model. She was so wonderful to my father and my whole family. We loved her. I'm happy I got to talk with her a few weeks ago. She was her usual happy, sharp as a tack self. What a great mind...I only wish I could have her memory. I always wanted her to come back for a visit to Arizona, but she couldn't be talked into it. She was a pleasure to spend time with. To her family, whom she loved so much, I am truly sorry for your loss.

Aunt Evie was a treasure. I can hear her easy,contagious laugh. She was thoughtful, fun and surprising, smart, grounded, always enjoyed a visit over coffee and cookies with family and friends, and always had a way of saying things are going to be o.k. We give thanks and celebrate Aunt Evie's life, and entrust her to God's goodness.
