Evelyn M. Greiner, 88, of Marshalltown, IA entered into eternal life, Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care in Marshalltown. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Born Evelyn Wheeler, January 27, 1923 in Marshalltown, she was the youngest of 6 children to Charles and Mayme (Smith) Wheeler. Evelyn graduated from Green Mountain High School with the class of 1940. She then attended Marshalltown Community College. She was was united in marriage to George E. Greiner, in 1948. Evelyn was employed with Bos Truck Lines for 11 years as a billing clerk. She then was a homemaker while raising her children. Most recently she was employed with the former Ewers Shoe Store, in Marshalltown. Evelyn was a member of First United Methodist Church and was in the choir for many years. She was a part-time member of the Tomorrow Club and TTT Chapter DA Society. She loved all kinds of music.

Evelyn will be missed by her son, Edward C. (Darla) Greiner of Cedar Rapids, IA, a daughter, Sue Greiner (Greg) Sage of Glen Ellyn, IL, three grandchildren; Ryan and Emily Greiner of Cedar Rapids, IA and Taylor Sage of Glen Ellyn, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
