Doris Koscielski, 97, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the Iowa River Hospice House, in Marshalltown. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Riverside Cemetery, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October, 3, 2011, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care. Online condolences may be sent to www.vogelfuneralhomes.com. Doris was born May 15, 1914, to Carl and Jennie (Hart) Munkres, in Omaha,NE. She graduated from Benson High School in Omaha. Doris was united in marriage to William "Bill" Koscielski on May 4, 1935, in Omaha. He died July 23, 1985. Bill and Doris moved to Marshalltown in 1947. They built and owned the grey hound bus depot and cafeteria, in Marshalltown. They also owned the casino building, the bargain center, and a farm. Doris was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, ceramics, and any type of crafts.

Doris will be missed by her son, Gerald "Jerry" (Barb) Koscielski of Marshalltown, a daughter, Judy (Ray) Zwemke of Hoschton, GA, four grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Joanne Koscielski, and a daughter in law, Sonja Koscielski.
