Stanley Wayne Zesch Sr., 56, of Ferguson, IA, passed away, Sunday, September 4, 2011, at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2011, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care.

Stanley was born October 8, 1954 to Lee H. and Dorothy C. (Smith) Zesch in Marshalltown. He graduated from LDF High School in 1972. He was employed with Chicago Northwestern Pacific Rail Road for 15 years. Most recently he was employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed metal scrapping, welding, and manufactured homemade trailers from recycled metal.

Stanley will be missed by his children; Patie Mears, Douglas W. Zesch, Rachel D. Zesch, Stanley W. Zesch Jr., six grandchildren; Codi, Ashley, Dustin, Scott, Sydney, Alicia, his mother, Dorothy Zesch, two brothers; Ralph (Rhonda) Zesch Sr., Raymond (Kay) Zesch, three sisters; Ila (Rich) Coleman, Christina (Kent) Gilbert, and LeAnna (Blackie) Reed.
