Walter Oscar Norberg, 84, of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life, July 26th, 2011, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Iowa Veteran's Home Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.vogelfuneralhomes.com. Walter was born November 29th, 1926 to Oscar and Frieda Norberg in Queens, NY. He was an accountant during his working years and most recently lived at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army.
Walter is survived by close family members Carol Magnuson and Janice Penn
In eternal life Walter has been reunited with his sisters, Alice Schmidt and Edith Norberg, and his parents.
