Henry Trusheim, 84, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at the former Grace United Methodist Church located at 7 North 5th Ave in Marshalltown. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2009, at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Henry was born on October 22, 1925, in Hubbard, IA, the son of Jakob and Emma (Krueger) Trusheim. On February 3, 1961, he was united in marriage to Alice Frerichs in Steamboat Rock, IA.
Henry was a butter maker for the former Marshall Creamery in Marshalltown, and later was employed with the former Marshall Instruments in Marshalltown retiring in 1983. During his retirement he worked part-time as security at Lennox and Fisher.
He was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church, and was a current member of First United Methodist Church, both in Marshalltown.
Henry was a committed man of Christian faith. He believed what he was committed to, and was a man who lived his faith. He enjoyed gardening.
Henry was a devoted husband and beloved brother and will be missed by his wife, Alice; sister, Anna Ash of Marshalltown; four brothers, Rudolf (Ruth) Trusheim of Urbandale, IA, Harold (Ireta) Trusheim of Marshalltown, Raymond (Lois) Trusheim of Toledo, IA, Wilbert (Jackie) Trusheim of Bettendorf, IA, and many nieces and nephews.
He will join in eternal life his sister, Helen Luiken, and a brother that died in infancy, Paul Edward
