Floyd Zednichek
Floyd was born July 16, 1916 in Marshalltown, Iowa the son of Joseph and Clara (Davison) Zednichek. Floyd was raised and educated in Marshalltown where he attended the Marshalltown school system. On July 30, 1938, Floyd was united in marriage to Rose Pelcman. They made their home in Marshalltown their entire lives where they raised their family. Floyd was employed by Fisher Controls in Marshalltown for 28 years where he retired from the Inspection Department on July 30, 1975. Floyd enjoyed gardening, lawn work and fishing in his earlier years. Floyd was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church, the Fisher Controls 25 Year Club and the UAW Local 893 Retirees.
Floyd is survived by his son Dennis (Joan) Zednichek of Marshalltown, his daughter Barbara J. Zednichek of Marshalltown, his sister Wilma Viers of Marshalltown, his granddaughter Denise R. (Wiley) Wilkinson of Chanhassen, Minnesota, and his great-grandchildren Zachary J. and Logan D. Wilkinson.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Rose in April of 2002, his parents, his sister Gladys Wheater and his brothers Fred, Bob and George.
