Lois J. McDonald, 91, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Valley View Nursing and Rehab, in Eldora, IA. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care, in Marshalltown, IA. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2012, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care, in Marshalltown. Interment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, in Marshalltown.

Lois was born August 10, 1921 to Horace and Bertha (Mitchell) Sisson in rural Whitten, IA. She attended the Whitten School and worked as a hired girl. Lois was united in marriage to George McDonald. She was a homemaker. Lois lived most of her life in Marshalltown. Later in life she moved to Hampton to live with her daughter until moving to Valley View Nursing and Rehab in Eldora.

Lois will be missed by a daughter, Georgetta Dohlman, two sons, Gerald and Eldon McDonald, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews, and a sister Edith. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers Russell and Marvin, a sister, Helen, and a son, Wilford Leroy McDonald.
