Richard “Dick” Leroy Bagnall, 77, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Hospital, in Des Moines, Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday August 27, 2012, at Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care, in Marshalltown. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of the services. Inurnment will be at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation. Online condolences may be sent to www.vogelfuneralhomes.com.

Dick was born March 2, 1935 to Russell J. and Arleen E. (Chapman) Bagnall in Jackson Port, WI. After school Dick joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Camp Chaffey and then Fort Knox, KY where he attended clerical school. He was then stationed in New York City as a company clerk at Fort Totten. In June of 1956 he was stationed in Alaska where he ended his service to his country. After the service he went to work in the family owned business, Arbie Feeds in Marshalltown as a District Manager, then promoted to Area Supervisor and finally V.P. of Sales Personnel. Dick was a member of the Blue Lodge Masonry-Marshall County, Za Ga Zig Shrine Trikes serving as captain of Tikes in 1975 and a past president. Dick was also a member of Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown.

Dick will be missed by his daughter, Renee' (Steve) Jones of Gulf Shores, Alabama; Russ Bagnall of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania; Darrell Bagnall of Marshalltown and Deb (Rick) Overstake of Marshalltown, a brother, Jim (Bette) Bagnall of Marshalltown and a sister, Ronda Rohde of Englewood. Florida. Dick is also survived by six grandchildren, Sam Washington, Deidra (Jim) LeClair, Dawn (Bill) Logsdon, Diana (Marc) Wilson, Denise Overstake, Dana (James) Larson. Nieces and nephews, Ron Bagnall, Rick Bagnall, Roxane Shanks, Mark Rohde, Tim Rohde, Melissa McKean, David Chapman and Cathy Sutter. Preceeding Dick in death are his mother Arleen, father Russell and Brother Doral Chapman.
