Doris L. Neymeyer, 81, of Gifford, IA passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at her residence while under the care of Iowa Hospice. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Biersborn Chapel of the Vogel Family Funeral Homes, in Union, IA. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Ridgewood cemetery, in North Liberty, IA. Memorials may be directed in her name to her family. Doris was born November 30, 1930 to Otto E. and Theckla Urbantke in Copperas Cove, TX. She was united in marriage to Paul A. Neymeyer on December 21, 1946. Doris was employed with Whink Products for 5 years and the Dodger Industries in Eldora, IA for 32 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Gifford United Methodist church where she played the piano for many years.

Doris will be missed by her two sons; Jerry Neymeyer of Eldora, Steven Neymeyer of Oshkosh, WI, a grandson, Jaydon Neymeyer of Waterloo, her Best Friend and companion, John Mossman of Gifford and his son Chad (Heidi) Mossman and grandson, Ryan Mossman, daughter in law, Amy (Mark) Smellie, and a sister, Helen E. Fulton of Temple, TX. She was preceded in death by her son, Mitch, and two brothers, Howard and Edward Urbantke.
