Major Robert "Bob" Jay Geddis, 84, of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life, May 8th, 2012, at the Iowa River Hospice House in Marshalltown with his family by his side. Bob was born March 12, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Julias Jay and Bessie Bell (Mudge) Geddis. On June 17, 1972, he was united in marriage to Betty Boyd in Detroit. Robert served his country honorably in WWII and the Korean War. Bob is a retired Salvation Army Officer Minster of 50 years. Bob loved people.
Bob will be dearly missed by his wife of 39 years, Betty, his children, Jeremy Paul (Alicia) Geddis, David (Linda) Geddis, Bonnie (Gordon) Reed, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
