C. Janet Mersman, 75, of Marshalltown, IA passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be noon until the time of the services at the funeral home. Janet was born January 10, 1937 to Merle and Verneda (Nolta) Mersman in State Center, IA. She graduated from Colo High School in 1956. Janet was employed with the Camera Shop in Marshalltown for 10 years, where she aided with the tinting and coloring process. She was later employed with Marshalltown Manufacturing for 17 years. Janet was a member of the Church of God in Marshalltown. She loved her western music and horses. Janet was very artistic and painted often. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and knitting.

Janet will be missed by her sister, Joanne Camper, niece, Jackie Vanderlin, nephew, Jeff Camper, all of Glendale, AZ, cousins, Russell Mersman of Neveda, IA, Sandy West of Perris, Ca, Lois Wiesley of Urbandale, IA, aunt, Virginia Jefferson of Marshalltown, and an uncle, Adrain Nolte of Iowa Falls, IA She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Verneda Mersman.
