I am so sorry for your loss. Our moms were the best of friends. At my mom's funeral in 2006, your mom told me Mom was the best friend she ever had. And I know the feeling was mutual. They had so many experiences to laugh over; they had a rich life. Your mom sent my mom a dozen red roses when Mom was in the hospital - and it was the last day she was conscious. Ruth held them up to Mom and told her who they were from; Mom understood. Your mom was one of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever known. Her sweet spirit lives on in you, her children, as does your dad's. She lived up to her name of Rose - she was all the beautiful things a rose is.

Condolence: Dear Bruene family, In 2007 I bought the Cedar Rapids condo that Richard and Rose bought in 2000. Every day I feel the positive energy left behind in this condo by The Bruenes. I know Rose cared about gardening, because she left behind some great periennels. Their condo neighbor, Doug Anderson, who is now my neighbor, mentioned that photographer Gordon Parks took photos of the Bruene family and farm. I was able to find those photos online in a Parks photo site. The photos of the girls and the family were so touching. It helped me to know the Bruene family even more. Peace and prayers to the Bruene family.
