Kathryn A Hogancamp, 88, of Kansas City, MO, passed away July 19, 2012, at her residence surrounded by loving family members. Memorial services for Kathryn and her husband Gilbert who passed away March 17, 2007 will be held Saturday. Oct, 27 at 11:00 am at Iowa River Church of the Brethren. In lieu of flowers the family requests a memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice 2900 northeast 60th Street, Ste 150 Gladstone, Mo.,62119. Pursel Davis Funeral and Cremation Care has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Kathryn was born January 15,1924 in Marshalltown, IA. to Roy and Julia (Plum) Kennedy. She married Gilbert Hogancamp on August 30,1945. She lived most of her life in Marshalltown/Green Mountain area before moving to Kansas City in 2004. Kathryn was the owner of Merri-K Hobby Shop of Green Mountain for 30 years. Before owning her own business she was the treasure of Fisher's Credit Union (Central Iowa Credit Union), and she worked for Fisher Controls (Monsanto). besides doing what she loved, Kathryn was a charter member of ABWA and she was also a member of the Iowa River Church of the Brethren and the ladies aid.

Kathryn will be missed by her children Stephen (Lin) Hogancamp of Dudley, NC, Charles (Frankie) Hogancamp, Thomas (Kathy) Hogancamp, and daughter Ann Hessenius of Kansas City, Mo. She has 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, sisters Lois Blackburn, Patricia Helman, brother Joe Kennedy and her parents
